MOT
The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) regulates the MOT programme, ensuring vehicles with a valid MOT Certificate meet road safety guidelines and environmental standards.
MOT's are undertaken at garages authorized by the Vehicle Inspectorate to carry out the tests. They are easily identifiable by the blue, 3 triangle MOT Sign.

We can carry out MOT Tests on a range of vehicles with our
Class 4 - Cars
Class 5 - Mini Buses
Class 7 - Light Commercial
At Speedwell Autos we have 2 testing bays, meaning simultaneuos MOTs can be performed meaning a more prompter service for you. We also have the latest one man ATL (automated test lanes), meaning tests can be performed without assistance.

We have the latest computer technology to provide accurate brake and emission measurements.
Feel free to relax in our Reception area whilst our experienced MOT testers check your vehicle, or if you prefer you can watch the MOT test procedure taking place, in our MOT viewing area in the workshop.

There is an extensive list of criteria to be met in order to achieve a valid MOT Certificate for your vehicle. The image below highlights the key areas of the criteria, however should you require a more detailed description of the testing undertaken, advice on how best to meet the requirements and/or to discuss any issues that may arise from your MOT Test, our testers are always happy to help.

Please note that an MOT certificate confirms that at the time of the test, without dismantling, the vehicle met the minimum acceptable environmental and road safety standards required by law. It does not mean that the vehicle is roadworthy for the life of the certificate. The test does not cover the condition of the engine clutch or gearbox.
